**Field Service Technician -- First Shift -- Travel Opportunities**
**We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, testing, and commissioning of vision, camera, and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems at vendor and client sites. You will support on-site system installation, start-up, debugging, and commissioning, as well as provide remote support to troubleshoot system process problems. Additionally, you will create training and system documentation as needed, and provide daily reports summarizing work completed and outlining remaining tasks for current projects.**
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, test, and commission vision, camera, and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems.
+ Support on-site system installation, start-up, debugging, and commissioning.
+ Create training and system documentation as needed.
+ Provide remote support to clients and team members to troubleshoot system process problems.
+ Complete formal training programs to increase knowledge of specific vision, camera, and scanning systems.
+ Provide daily reports to supervisor summarizing work completed and outlining remaining tasks.
+ Accurately track and report all time spent and expenses incurred for work performed.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical and electrical assembly and troubleshooting experience (1+ year).
+ Ability to read and follow AutoCAD drawings for system layouts, assembly, and troubleshooting (1+ year).
+ Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Thorough understanding of or ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
+ Ability to work in a live production environment.
**Work Environment**
The position involves 80% travel to client sites. Trips generally run Monday to Friday but may extend over weekends. When not traveling, you'll work in a climate-controlled, clean warehouse with large automation robots. The shop operates from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. The dress code includes a polo (provided), jeans, and closed-toed shoes.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $57200.00 - $70720.00/yr.
