**Job Title: Field Service Technician**
**Job Description:** As a Field Service Technician, you'll assemble and maintain electrical substations, handling components with cranes and forklifts, and performing mechanical assembly and testing. You'll work with experienced technicians to prepare transformers for energization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Travel nationwide to substation sites.
+ Unload, stage, and assemble components.
+ Use cranes to lift and position parts.
+ Perform mechanical assembly and bolting.
+ Conduct tests to ensure proper assembly.
+ Collaborate with level 2 and 3 technicians.
**Essential Skills:**
+ Mechanical assembly experience.
+ Proficiency with hand tools.
+ Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
+ Field service experience preferred but not required
**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**
+ Experience with large mechanical components.
+ Technical assembly or maintenance background.

**Work Environment:**
+ Extensive travel across the U.S.
+ On-site work for 2-3 weeks, followed by 1-2 weeks in the shop.
+ Up to 70 hours/week on the road, 40 hours/week at home.
+ Company covers hotel and travel expenses.
+ Work environments may lack electricity during assembly stages.
**Job Type & Location:**
+ Contract to hire, based in Golden, Colorado.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
