**Job Title: Field Service Mechanic** **1st shift - $28-$35/HR** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Field Service Mechanic to travel throughout Northern Minnesota, North Dakota, and Northern South Dakota regions to service equipment at major packaging facilities. The role involves a schedule of overnight travel for six weeks per quarter, with the remaining seven weeks allowing for daily travel to nearby locations. Duties include repairing conveyors and HVAC systems, with potential welding tasks. Overtime compensation is provided after eight hours each day. Travel is conducted in a company truck alongside another team member, with paid travel time to Burnsville, MN every Monday for route discussions. **Responsibilities** + Execute preventative maintenance at customer facilities, primarily on conveyor systems. + Replace defective parts and conduct equipment alignment and testing. + Adapt and custom fabricate as necessary during repairs. + Troubleshoot and track conveyor belts to meet facility specifications. + Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts with precision. + Rig equipment and use dollies to position heavy machinery and parts. + Work with electrical sensors and assist with welding and fabrication if capable. **Essential Skills** + Industrial maintenance experience. + Proficiency in conveyor maintenance and troubleshooting. + Capability in welding and working with hydraulics and electrical systems. **Work Environment** Work within industrial packaging facilities, utilizing company vehicles for travel. The role requires flexibility in working hours and a readiness to adapt to various environments. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
