**Field Service Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Travel throughout Northern Minnesota, North Dakota, and Northern South Dakota regions servicing equipment at various packaging facilities. The position includes a schedule of overnight travel for six weeks per quarter, while the remaining seven weeks involve shorter trips closer to St. Cloud. Daily tasks include driving to locations like Alexandria to repair conveyors or HVAC systems, with repairs taking anywhere from 2 to 7 hours. Welding may be required if capable. Overtime is paid after 8 hours each day, and travel is conducted in a company truck with another team member. Every Monday involves a paid drive to Burnsville, MN to discuss upcoming routes.
**Responsibilities**
+ Execute preventative maintenance at customer facilities and replace defective parts.
+ Align and test equipment to ensure optimal operation.
+ Adapt and custom fabricate solutions as needed.
+ Troubleshoot and track conveyor belts to meet facility specifications.
+ Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, and attach motors, ensuring precise tolerances.
+ Rig equipment and use dollies to position heavy machinery and parts.
+ Work with electrical sensors and assist with welding/fabrication if capable.
**Essential Skills**
+ Industrial maintenance experience.
+ Experience in conveyor maintenance.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.
+ Capability in welding and fabrication.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must be willing to travel and be on call 24/7 for emergencies.
+ Experience with conveyor systems is advantageous.
+ Gas reimbursement for initial travel to Burnsville.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
