Field Service Mechanic
**Field Service Mechanic - Kent, WA** **Pay: $25-27/hour** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Mechanic to provide technical support for aircraft pilot seats. The role involves repairing aircraft pilot seats by removing and replacing mechanical, electrical, and upholstery components using hand and power tools. You will follow computerized component maintenance manuals and occasionally travel to aircraft factories for installations, removals, or troubleshooting. Interaction with customers and home office engineering and technical support staff by phone and email is required to resolve issues and accomplish repairs. **Responsibilities** + Repair aircraft pilot seats by removing and replacing various components. + Use hand and power tools in accordance with maintenance manuals. + Travel to aircraft factories for installations, removals, or troubleshooting as necessary. + Interface with customers and technical support staff to resolve issues. + Manage documentation, paperwork, and basic SAP use, tracking work in Excel. + Ensure seats are repaired according to engineering work orders. **Essential Skills** + Experience using hand tools for repair or assembly of mechanical components. + Ability to read blueprints and instructions in English. + Excellent communication skills in English. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with aircraft interior component repair, including seating. + Familiarity with technical drawings and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM). **Why Work Here?** Enjoy stability with no danger of layoffs or reductions, ensuring full weeks of work regardless of seat volume. Occasionally, work may occur 'on-site' at aircraft factories reached via company van. The workload varies from minor seat checks to major projects requiring extensive component replacement. The position is full-time, 40 hours a week, with shifts typically running from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with some flexibility. Rare on-call weekends may occur. You will be trained and mentored by an experienced technician. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
