Job Title: Field Service Mechanic
Job Description

Provide technical support for aircraft pilot seats by repairing and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and upholstery components. The role involves using hand tools and occasionally power tools, following computerized component maintenance manuals, and occasionally traveling to aircraft factories for installations, removals, or troubleshooting tasks. The position requires interfacing with customers and engineering and technical support staff via phone and email to resolve issues and complete repairs.

ResponsibilitiesRepair aircraft pilot seats by removing and replacing mechanical, electrical, and upholstery components.Use hand tools and power tools for repairs, following computerized component maintenance manuals.Travel to aircraft factories as needed for installations, removals, or troubleshooting.Interface with customers and home office engineering and technical support staff by phone and email.Document and track work using SAP and Excel, which constitutes nearly 50% of the job.Essential SkillsProficiency with hand tools for repair or assembly of mechanical components.Ability to read blueprints and instructions in English.Excellent communication skills in English.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with aircraft interior component repair including seating is preferred.Familiarity with technical drawings and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) is preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work within a small team of Field Service Mechanics, primarily at an in-house facility located in Kent. The facility is equipped with a loading dock, open area for seat storage, parts inventory, and multiple work areas with tools for removal and replacement of seat parts. Occasionally, work on-site at aircraft factories, which is accessed via the company van. Enjoy a consistent workload with varied tasks, from minor seat checks to major projects requiring component replacements. Work hours are from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, with some flexibility for alternative shifts such as 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Rare on-call weekends may occur. Training and mentoring by a senior technician is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
