Field Service Engineer II - Lab Instrument Services
This FSE role will cover clients primarily in East Bay, including Fremont, Concord, Livermore, and other locations. **About the Role:** Full Spectrum Lab Services from CBRE offers a professionalsuite of services to a variety of clients in the life sciences industry,including those in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, and genomics, aswell as contract research organizations (CROs) and contract manufacturingorganizations (CMOs). Our comprehensive range of services includes laboratoryconsulting, real estate services, instrumentation repair and maintenance, fullasset management, and more—covering the entire spectrum of life sciencesfacilities. With expertise across various life sciences categories, CBRE is aleader in managing highly-regulated spaces within the industry. **What You’ll Do:** + Repair and maintenance of equipment with emphasis on GC, LC, and MS + Take apart, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, and take care of special equipment, systems, and controls. + Operate test equipment. This includes multimeters, frequency generators, and counters, galvanometers, digital logic probes, and oscilloscopes. + Troubleshoot, service or resolve problems while performing unscheduled work. + Record and report abnormal functions or out-of-tolerance conditions of equipment. If needed, start corrective action and documentation. **What You’ll Need:** + OEM or 3rd party repair experience + Major electronic or mechanical repair experience on a chromatography related system + Proficiency with any of the following instrumentation/technology: Agilent/MassHunter/MultiQuant, Waters, Thermo, Shimadzu + 4 year degree in a related field; **3-5** **years of job-related experience** . In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law. + Ability to travel up to 50% overnight. + Ability to lift up to 50lbs. + A valid U.S. drivers license; in good standing. + Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments **Why CBRE?** CBRE is the leader in our field. In lieu of a degree, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered. + Experience in the areas of EventOperations, Logistics Coordination, or Client Services, preferably in acorporate or hospitality environment. + Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeSuite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Outlook, and event management software. + Ability to manage multipleprojects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. + Extensive organizational skillswith a strong inquisitive mindset and the ability to adapt to anyenvironment. + Ability to guide the exchange ofsensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performanceexpectations and handle problems. + Demonstrate strong leadershipskills by taking ownership of tasks independently while guiding team members toperform at their best, ensuring successful collaboration and outstanding eventexecution. + Strong understanding of budgetingand financial tracking. + Exceptional verbal and writtencommunication for client interaction and internal collaboration. + Fulfill the physical requirementsassociated with this role. This includes stooping, standing, walking, andclimbing stairs. The minimum salary for the Field Service Engineer II position is $85,000 and the maximum salary for the position is $100,000. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
