About the role
Performsadvanced-level, scheduled, and unscheduled troubleshooting/services onspecialty equipment, instruments, and systems specific to the pharmaceuticalresearch & development industry. Possesses the in-depth technical knowledgerequired for performing complex, analytical service procedures, instrumentqualifications, and calibration tasks.
This rolerequires travel including local/ regional travel

What you’ll do!
+ Perform installation, repair, preventativemaintenance, and IQ/OQ/PQ services on multi-vendor analytical instruments(e.g., Agilent, Waters, Shimadzu, Thermo, and Sciex) at customer locations orin-house.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot operational problemson the following lab equipment (and/or equipment of similar complexity): GC,GC/MS, LC/MS (Single Quad and Triple Quad), ICPMS, HPLC/UPLC, All AssociatedOEM Chromatography Software Platforms, Related peripherals, e.g., headspace& autosampler.
+ Fixes/services or resolves problems whileperforming unscheduled work, as necessary.
+ Records and reports abnormal functions orout-of-tolerance conditions of equipment and initiates corrective action anddocumentation.
+ Reinstalls, tests, evaluates, calibrates, andmaintains instruments or devices upon completion of repairs.
+ Documents daily records of inspections,maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed within approvedguidelines and procedures.
+ Coordinates with outside contractors regardingrepairs covered by maintenance agreements.
+ Manages relationships with customers.
+ Completes service report on each service ticketcompletion.
+ Train customers and other servicerepresentatives on maintenance tasks
+ Participates in the growth of the region andcompany.
**What You'llNeed:**
+ Must complete QMS training assigned to position title.
+ Must meet lawfully required customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access. These requirements vary by customer/vendor and may include but are not limited to post-employment background checks, various forms of drug testing, vaccinations, fingerprinting, proof of valid identification, and/or adherence to customer-specific substance abuse programs.
+ Ability to travel to various locations daily and interact with a broad range of clientele.
+ Overnight travel will be required.
+ A valid driver's license is required.
**Education/Training/Knowledge:**
+ 5+ years of field service experience is highly preferred.
+ Service knowledge of GC, HPLC/UPLC, GC/MS & LC/MS is required.
+ Bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar) preferred or High School Diploma or equivalent experience with lab experience required.
+ Knowledge of lab practices, standard concepts, and test procedures for analytical instruments.

+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 10-15 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Extensive sales experience, ideally in the Property Management, Asset Management or Investor sector.
+ Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
+ Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results within a function within a matrix organizational structure.
+ Very strong influencing experience and skills.

+ Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
+ Highly sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate somewhat complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Field Service Engineer II position is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Waters Field Service Engineer II is $110,000 position is annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
