Job Description:
The Field Service Engineer, also known as Maintenance Engineer, will cover UPS Package Centers in the UK Central region, a total of 9 site, which covers an area from Leeds to Northampton. You’ll start your workday from home and report directly to site, travel to site is considered part of your working day.

A salary in the region of £39,000 per year, depending on experience
The use of a company van for work related purposes, including commuting to work and between centres.
Commute and travelling as part of your working hours,
Flexible working hours, to be discussed with your manager (for a total of 40 hours per week).
What you’ll do:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and associated equipment. This includes inspection of mechanical and electrical elements of the systems, such as bearings, chains, pulleys, hydraulics, single and 3 phase electric motors and control systems. This will be documented using UPS paperwork.
Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding on conveyor systems in the event of breakdowns. Replacing mechanical, electrical and electronic components, mostly like for like. Some repairs may require minor welding; however, some training can be provided if needed.
Be responsible for maintaining adequate spares at each centre and keeping the spares area tidy.
Ensure stock levels in the works van are maintained and kept in an orderly, clean condition.
Completion of minor building maintenance, general maintenance, including heating, electric and ventilation repairs.
Overtime may be offered to deal with breakdowns out of hours; this will be offered on an Ad-hoc basis.
What you’ll need
Experienced Electrical and/or Mechanical background
The ideal candidate will live centrally to the sites being covered, which is generally in the Derby, Nottingham, and East Midlands area. Quick access to the M1 around those areas will be ideal.
