Job Description SummaryAs a Field Service Engineer 2, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of GE Precision Healthcare's complex medical imaging and diagnostic equipment within the Little Rock, Arkansas territory. You will ensure optimal performance of equipment, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of healthcare providers and their patients.

This position is located in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine systems.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, installations, and upgrades on a variety of GE Precision Healthcare medical equipment, including but not limited to MRI, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine systems.

Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, utilizing schematics, service manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Manage assigned service calls efficiently, prioritizing urgent issues, and maintaining detailed records of all service activities, parts used, and time spent.

Provide technical support and training to healthcare professionals on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting procedures.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through professional and timely service delivery.

Adhere strictly to GE Precision Healthcare's quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, HIPAA) in all aspects of work.

Maintain accurate inventory of service parts and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality of test equipment.

Collaborate effectively with sales, applications, and technical support teams to address customer needs and improve product performance.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with new technologies and product enhancements.

Manage travel logistics within the assigned territory, including driving to customer sites and potentially staying overnight for multi-day projects.


Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related technical field; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Equivalent military technical training and experience may substitute for formal education.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service engineering, preferably with medical imaging equipment or complex electro-mechanical systems.

Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, optics, and computer networking principles.

Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a field-based environment.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various physical environments, including hospitals and clinics.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations and occasional weekends, as needed.
