Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, commission, and maintain our conveyor systems on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing conveyor equipment. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client.

ResponsibilitiesRespond to service calls within 6 hours of initial call.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and be available for service calls within the geographic region.Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems.Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams.Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success.Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Essential SkillsMUST HAVE CONVEYOR MAINTENANCE/INSTALLATION EXPERIENCEField service experienceElectrical and PLC troubleshootingInstallation and decommissioning skillsExperience with electrical systems and conveyor systemsPLC knowledgeUnderstanding of mechanical and electrical aspects of conveyor systems or industrial equipmentExperience traveling 100%Knowledge of pneumatics, repair, mechanical electrical, and automationAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to travel to client sites frequentlyPhysical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, specifically within the conveyor industryExperience with basic hand and power toolsProficiency with Microsoft Office productsTechnical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computerFluency in reading and writing English; understanding of Spanish is a plusWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic and supportive environment where safety is a key priority. You will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and will work at Amazon facilities, adhering to their EH&S requirements. The role requires physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. The use of multi-hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation is essential, as well as the ability to climb ladders and operate a forklift and scissor lift.90

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
