**Job Title: Field Service Technician | $30-35+HR** **Per Diem PLUS Overtime & Base Pay!** **100% Travel** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to install, commission, and maintain our conveyor systems on-site. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical and electrical installation, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in installing conveyor equipment. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all on-site installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the client. **Responsibilities** + Respond to service calls within 6 hours of initial call. + Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and be available for service calls within the geographic region. + Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. + Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems. + Communicate project status, risks, and issues to the project manager and internal teams. + Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success. + Maintain accurate project documentation and reports. + Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Field service experience + Electrical and PLC troubleshooting + Installation and decommissioning skills + Experience with electrical systems and conveyor systems + PLC knowledge + Understanding of mechanical and electrical aspects of conveyor systems or industrial equipment + Experience traveling 100% + Knowledge of pneumatics, repair, mechanical electrical, and automation + Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics + Strong problem-solving and analytical skills + Ability to work independently and in a team environment + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Willingness to travel to client sites frequently + Physical ability to work in a field installation environment, including the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent required, technical degree preferred + 3+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical installation, specifically within the conveyor industry + Experience with basic hand and power tools + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products + Technical ability to use a mobile device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer + Fluency in reading and writing English; understanding of Spanish is a plus **Why Work Here?** Join a family-owned company with a history of over 100 years, known for investing and caring about their employees. The use of multi-hand and power tools associated with conveyor installation is essential, as well as the ability to climb ladders and operate a forklift and scissor lift. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
