Job Description
Field Service and Technical Advising Specialist
Location: Guinea, Port of Morebaya
**Role Summary/Purpose**
The Technical Advisor will provide Wabtec Locomotive technical advice to customer maintenance staff for all owned locomotives on the customer rail network. This role will develop customer loyalty and manage customer relationships that foster a long-term partnership. Ensures locomotive servicing are completed in a timely manner, safely and to the agreed Maintenance Instructions (MI’s). Provide trouble shooting advice to customer technicians. Work closely with Reliability Engineers to improve key locomotive performance KPI’s. Ensures material is provided by the Wabtec Stores team ‘Just in Time’ (JIT) for all maintenance opportunities. Works closely with the other TA’s, material team and Service Leader to ensure all locomotives that depart customer maintenance shops are best prepared to complete 100% successful journeys. Engage and discuss Wabtec technical products with customer Team to improve reliability / productivity.
**Main Duties:**
Reporting directly to the Lead Technical Advisor this role will;
+ Respond and execute on requests for planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting, failure analysis, field modification oversight, issue feedback and engineering support;
+ Providing training and assistance to customers on product maintenance, troubleshooting and repair to ensure maintenance best practice compliance and according to Wabtec MIs.
+ Track product performance metrics and issue recommendations for continuous improvement.
+ Coordinating implementation of field modifications and monitor effectiveness;
+ Performing joint investigation of failed components with the customer for warranty administration;
+ Interaction with Wabtec teams worldwide on issues, product development and training
+ Wabtec Internal reporting and team duties
+ Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and customer satisfaction
+ Report and communicate project updates
+ Reporting on performance criteria and customer monthly meeting
+ Develop a deep understanding of the customer’s business to identify opportunities for account growth
+ Achieve internal Product training certification training within set duration.
+ Participate and contribute during EHS initiatives to ensure work is conducted in a safely manner.

Qualifications
**Minimum Requirements**
+ Degree in Technical discipline from an accredited College or University.
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience working within the Rail or similar Industry
+ Experience and ability to work in shop environment and to work various shifts on various days as required.
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems with customer focus
+ Must be Guinean National
Additional Information
Must be fluent in in French and English. Mandarin/Chinese will be an added advantage
