Field Install Welder
**Job Title: Field Install Welder** **Job Description** Join a family-owned steel fabrication shop as a Field Install Welder. You will be responsible for welding in the field, working on projects ranging from ironwork steel erection to handrail and walkway installations for commercial clients. Current projects include work at PCC and Aurora Airport. **Responsibilities** + Perform field welding tasks as assigned. + Operate lifts to reach project sites. + Conduct basic welding machine maintenance and setup. + Self-inspect and repair welds to meet acceptance criteria. + Read blueprints and weld/fabricate according to symbols. **Essential Skills** + D1.1 3G WABO certification or equivalent. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Experience with MIG, Flux Core, and Structure welding. + Proficient in operating boom and scissor lifts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Familiarity with prequalified Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) preferred. + Ability to function effectively as part of a team. + Capability to perform occasional kneeling and stooping. + Ability to lift weights typically less than 50 lbs. **Why Work Here?** Join a small crew with a strong team culture. The position operates on a day shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with adjustments as needed for field install projects. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
