As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues while mentoring others in effective problem-solving strategies. You will act as the primary technical contact, providing onsite and remote coaching to tackle challenges efficiently. Your expertise will be essential in conducting system maintenance on field controllers, servers, workstations, and associated hardware.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify and communicate technical issues, recommending necessary upgrades, enhancements, or repairs.Monitor equipment schedules and suggest modifications to optimize performance.Oversee assigned tasks to ensure timely completion while exceeding customer quality expectations.Maintain clear documentation and provide status updates to customers throughout the project.Deliver customized training to owners and operators, ensuring a smooth transition for system upgrades and service improvements.Essential SkillsElectrical, mechanical, and controls expertise, particularly in Building Automation Controls or BMS.Experience in mechanical operations involving pumps, WW water, air flow, etc.Ability to work on control panels in buildings.Strong understanding of meters and relays, including start/stop and process functioning controls.Advanced expertise in TCP/IP networks, including wireless technologies.Skilled at explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a clear and accessible manner.Proficient in navigating and integrating various building automation systems.Able to interpret and understand architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsHighly proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.Bachelor’s or Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate, or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.Capable of downloading, analyzing, and troubleshooting complex HVAC and building automation system logic.Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves hands-on interaction with advanced technologies in building automation systems. You will be expected to work independently and as part of a team, with regular onsite visits to various locations. The role requires adaptability to different settings and may involve travel to client sites for project implementation and support.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
