About the Role
Teradyne’s Solutions Engineering Group (SEG) is seeking a highly motivated and driven intern to join our team. You will work both collaboratively and independently to develop imaginative, practical, and impactful test application solutions. This internship offers hands-on exposure to real-world engineering challenges and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to customer success.
Opportunity Overview:
As an intern with SEG, you will:
+ Work alongside Field Applications Engineers to develop, debug, and deploy test solutions for semiconductor devices on Teradyne Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems (hardware and software).
+ Support troubleshooting of test issues and contribute to improving test methodologies and processes.
+ Attend Teradyne ATE programming training and complete the New Hire Device Training curriculum to reinforce technical understanding.
+ Learn the importance of soft skills in customer engagement, communication, and problem-solving.
+ Gain exposure to the semiconductor manufacturing and ATE environment, including challenges in testing integrated circuits (ICs) and working with cutting-edge IC technologies.
+ Explore new software tools and contribute to architecting in‑house tools and processes that enhance engineering efficiency.

This internship is designed to give you meaningful, resume‑ready experience. By the end of the program, you will:
+ Develop hands-on experience with industry-standard Automated Test Equipment (ATE) used by top semiconductor companies.
+ Strengthen programming and debugging skills, especially in C#, .NET, and Visual Studio (if applicable).
+ Build confidence in technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
+ Learn how to communicate effectively with customers and cross-functional teams, balancing technical depth with clarity.
+ Experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment, improving adaptability, teamwork, and problem-solving.
