**Job Title: Fiber Spinning Operator**
Job Description
As a Fiber Spinning Operator, you will work under the direction of the Plant Manager and the Fabrication Coordinator. Your primary responsibility will be to operate the Generon module fabrication processes and equipment safely and efficiently. This role is crucial in producing high-quality modules while minimizing operating costs and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure a safe work environment by knowing and practicing all plant policies and company safety standards, rules, and procedures. Correct unsafe conditions or notify the Fabrication Coordinator if unable to do so.
+ Complete all module fabrication operations including bundle preparation, tube sheet formation, module assembly, patching, coating, drying, testing, and shipping as directed by the Fabrication Coordinator.
+ Perform quality control on raw materials using gel timers.
+ Interact with PLCs to gather data and evaluate process operations, notifying the Fabrication Coordinator of any deviations from standard operating conditions.
+ Stay informed of regulatory requirements for hazardous waste handling, air permits, and spill reporting, and notify the Fabrication Coordinator of any permit condition deviations.
+ Identify when fabrication equipment requires maintenance and communicate this to the Fabrication Coordinator.
+ Identify opportunities for cost savings, quality, or safety improvements and communicate these to the Plant Manager.
+ Collaborate with the Fabrication Coordinator and plant support engineers to develop and revise standard operating procedures. Assist with training new operators.
+ Communicate process information in logbooks for evaluation and participate in monthly communication meetings.
Essential Skills
+ Willingness to learn new skills and demonstrate punctuality.
+ Mechanical experience in manufacturing is desirable.
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment and production.
+ Quality control and forklift operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ All 'nice to have skills' will be trained.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting that is not very loud. Temperatures vary depending on the outside weather. The facility spans 80,000 square feet and is divided into sections, including the Loom, Warehouse, Mod Fab, and office. You will be working in the Mod Fab section. The facility is secured with gates and there is no smoking allowed on the premises. Smokers must exit the facility to smoke. The schedule involves 12-hour rotating shifts, alternating between days (6am-6pm) and nights (6pm-6am) from Monday to Friday, with some overtime opportunities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittsburg, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
