\n\t\t\t\t\tAs a Fiber Optic Splicer, your main duties will consist of installing, splicing, troubleshooting, conducting, recording tests, verify and document installations for inside and outside plant Fiber Optic systems for both new and existing applications.\n\n-Provide 24x7 emergency response support.\n-Work with clients to plan installations as required.\n-Install, repair, and test fiber cable in a variety of environments (underground, indoor, aerial). \n-Terminate cable utilizing a variety of connectors.

\n\t\t\t\t\t-Able to read prints and other engineering documentation.\n-Mechanical and fusion splicing experience.\n-Demonstrated understanding of fiber counts and colors.\n-Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\n-Good verbal and written communication skills.\n-Computer literacy with MS Office products and testing equipment.\n-Fiber Optic industry construction, maintenance, and testing experience.\n-Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $72000.00/yr.
Medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, etc.\no HSA\no 401k\no\tPTO(eligible after 90 days of employment)\n\nOn-call\no\tTypically every 3rd to 4th week (depending on department and needs)\no\tScheduled typically 2 months in advance\no\t$100 on the following weeks check (basically to answer the call)\no\tAny call outs from 6pm - 6am a $100 gift card will be issued (this is in additional to other items listed herein) (gift cards paid out once a month)\no\tOnce on-call schedule is made up, up to the individual to switch with others\n\nNight Premium\no\tFrom 9pm - 6am an additional $2.00 per hour\n\nTravel\no\t$50 per night per diem\no\tHotel paid for (Crew leads get own room, everyone else will room with another individual)\no\tPay is the same hourly rate during travel time
