Job Title: Fully-Remote Fiber Designer
Job Description
Join a dedicated team committed to enhancing rural broadband through the Enhanced Alternative Connect America Cost Model (E-ACAM) program. You will play a crucial role in supporting the deployment and maintenance of high-speed broadband services in some of the most rural areas within our footprint.
Responsibilities
Design Outside Plant (OSP) projects across multiple locations and states.Create labor, material, and overhead project cost estimates.Utilize GIS tools to design fiber network builds within a GIS platform, collaborating with OSP Engineering associates.Perform analysis on fiber network designs for OSP teams using GIS tools and extensions.Essential Skills
3+ years of telecommunications design experience.Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS and fiber design, particularly new routes.Strong understanding of the telecommunications industry and principles.Familiarity with NESC construction practices and engineering standards.Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Capability to read and assess fiber and/or HFC designs and prints.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD.Own a desktop computer capable of creating a VPN connection to a remote desktop provided by the company.Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, primarily focusing on fiber work across various regions, mainly Central. The role includes working with a manager who oversees workload, ensures quality control, and provides training on systems design. Enjoy 7 holidays and 2-3 weeks of PTO, with the possibility of working overtime. All necessary software and connections are provided via a remote desktop.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
