Join a dedicated team committed to enhancing rural broadband through the Enhanced Alternative Connect America Cost Model (E-ACAM) program. This role involves assisting in the creation of Outside Plant (OSP) Design maps using GIS technology, focusing on deploying and supporting high-speed broadband services in rural areas.
Responsibilities
+ Design OSP projects in various locations and states.
+ Create labor, material, and overhead project cost estimates.
+ Utilize GIS tools to design fiber network builds within a GIS platform, collaborating with other OSP Engineering associates.
+ Create and perform analysis on fiber network designs for the OSP teams using GIS tools and extensions.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
+ 4-5+ years of experience in telecommunications.
+ Experience in the Telephony field or related areas.
+ Strong understanding of the Telecommunications industry and principles.
+ Knowledge of NESC construction practices and engineering standards.
+ Excellent leadership and customer relations skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
+ Proficient in written and oral communication.
+ PC database, spreadsheet, and word processing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to read and assess fiber and/or HFC designs and prints.
+ Experience with AutoCAD is advantageous.
+ Ability to work cooperatively with diverse work groups.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position, focusing on fiber work across various regions, primarily in Central areas. Candidates must have their own desktop computer capable of establishing a VPN connection to a remote desktop provided by the company. The company will supply all necessary software and connections through this remote desktop. Working hours include overtime, with seven holidays and 2-3 weeks of paid time off. A manager will oversee the workload, ensuring quality control and providing training on systems design.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
