Guides the day-to-day activities of the Mill through the oversight of supervisors. Responsible for the maintenance and operations of the Feed Mill, including preventive maintenance, housekeeping, ingredient receiving, feed manufacturing, feed loadout and delivery, quality control, and optimizing production and maintenance costs. Enforces all safety procedures and processes to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
\n\nSupervises the day-to-day activities of a team of entry level individual contributors and/or supervisors. Provides guidance, coaching, and support to ensure successful delivery of team goals. Participates in HR activities such as hiring, terminations, performance management, goal setting, team member development, scheduling, etc. Enforces and contributes to the development of systems, policies, and procedures. \nEnsures proper, timely, and accurate delivery to company and contract farm. \nOversees the operations to provide best manufacturing practices, including ensuring all internal policies and practices are completed and documented appropriately. Ensures compliance with all FDA and regulatory requirements, including necessary documentation. \nPartners to ensure the safety and well-being of all team members through safety meetings, safety training, safety documentation, and continually striving for zero accidents. Reports and assists with injuries and investigations. \nReviews reports on operational issues and performance to identify and implement improvements. Recommends changes to policy as needed. \nAssists the Mill Manager to prepare annual budgets to include volumes and dollars. Responsible for capital expenditures for the Mill. \nResponsible for the operational costs of the Feed Mill including all maintenance, delivery, labor, and manufacturing costs. Monitors and minimizes shrink in ingredients and finished feed. \nEnsures proper quality control procedures and policies (i.e., HACCP) are adhered to for ingredients and finished feeds. Ensures all products meet standards including accurate feed formulations, utilization of correct ingredients, inventory management, proper equipment maintenance, etc. \nEnsures the execution of housekeeping programs, monitors good housekeeping practices, and supervises maintenance of the Feed Mill equipment in a manner that ensures a clean environment throughout Mill. \nResponsible for the accurate and timely completion of all necessary documentation and reporting. \n\nMinimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)

\n\nWork will be performed in a variety of conditions including a climate-controlled office environment(s) and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, hot areas, dusty areas, chemicals, and other site conditions. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment. \nThe noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection. \nOccasional travel may be required. \n\nDisclaimer
