SummaryAccurately and timely loads delivered according to feed order directives. Deliver to individual customers as assigned by dispatcher. Determine and convey needed repairs and/or preventative maintenance to fleet mechanics.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensures timely and accurate delivery of feed according to dispatcher scheduling.Performs a pre-trip truck inspection according to a DOT sheet, reporting any deficiencies to proper fleet mechanics.Ensure the correct weight of feed is loaded into the truck and the truck and correct weight is delivered to the farm locations.Accurately operate boom to cleanly direct the feed into the holding bin assuring that feed is not spilled onto bin or ground, report spills and problems to the Mill Manager or dispatcher.Ensures accurate recordkeeping of fuel purchases, trip tickets, daily logs and time sheets, no hold and feed pick up.May need to climb truck (15 ft) to direct loading and occasionally uses a #5 sledgehammer to remove stuck feed as necessary.Perform other duties as requiredMinimum EducationHigh School or equivalent
Requirements Class A CDL license2+ years of CDL A driving, preferably delivering feedReading, writing and math skillsEnvironmental Factors and Physical Requirements Exposed to seasonal weather temperatures, and climate, significant amounts of airborne dust.In a stationary or moving position on a wet or moist, or dry or dusty, or dirty, or greasy floor with metal or plastic grating surface. Must have the ability to climb stairs, upon equipment, tractor and trailer, catwalks and work from various ladders. Noise exposure level of >110 dB. Light intensity range of
