Farm Laborer
### Job Duties Start Date: 03/10/2026 End Date: 07/31/2026 Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hours/day, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. Daily or weekly work schedules may vary due to weather, sunlight, temperature, crop conditions, and other factors. Employer may request, but not require, that workers work more than the stated daily hours, on the worker’s Sabbath, or on federal holidays. Must Apply By: 05/21/2026 Job Duties: Drive and operate farm machinery such as tractors, ATVs, and self-propelled machinery to till soil, prepare fields, and plant crops; Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on farm vehicles, implements, and equipment; Set up and operate irrigation equipment, including laying pipes, maintaining ditches, and ensuring adequate water supply to crops; Apply fertilizers to crops using hand sprayers and other equipment; Conduct regular crop inspections to monitor growth, pest activity, and plant health; Plant seeds and seedlings using various planting techniques and equipment, including seed planters; Harvest crops using machinery or by hand, ensuring proper handling to maintain quality; Load and unload harvested crops into trucks or storage containers, maintaining organization and efficiency; Store and pack crops for transportation, preparing them for market or storage facilities; Transport harvested crops to storage facilities, operating trucks and conveyors as needed; Monitor grain moisture levels and assist with grain handling, including loading and unloading grain bins; Clean and maintain storage areas and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency; Perform general farm labor tasks as needed, including landscaping, clearing debris, and maintaining farm grounds; Assist with the disposal of spoiled grain and manage grain inventory as directed; Report any machinery malfunctions or operational issues to supervisors. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. Crops: Soybeans, Corn Worker must be available and willing to work the entire season. Worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures and varying weather conditions. Employer maintains a drug, and alcohol-free workplace. Possession or use of illegal drugs or alcohol on company worksites or vehicles is prohibited and will be cause for immediate termination. ### Minimum Education Required No High School Diploma or GED required. ### Minimum Experience Required Three (3) months of experience relevant to the job is required. Worker must have knowledge and experience working with South-American Germplasm for both soybean and corn. Must be able to operate tractors, combines, and mudmuster self-propelled sprayer and/or backpack sprayer with proper safety equipment. Worker must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license within thirty (30) days of hire. Worker must be able to lift items weighing up to eighty (80) pounds. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
