**Job Overview** **Fairview Health Services** is seeking a **Family Medicine Physician** to join our established primary care practice at **M Health Fairview Clinics – Oakdale** in Oakdale, Minnesota. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, multi-specialty clinic. **Practice details** + Established primary care clinic with **11 provider primary care** practice which includes 9 Family Medicine Physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners. + Average patient volume of approximately **16–24** patients per day + **Opening: 1.0 FTE (34 patient contact hours) - flexible schedule.** + Fully integrated electronic medical record (Epic) **Responsibilities** + Examines patients, formulates differential diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing. Provides preventative, chronic disease, and acute care depending on the need of the clinic site. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. + Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene. + Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans. Refers patient to medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary. + Completes medical record and electronic order management (via in basket); and completes cross coverage depending on site needs. Follows organization policies and procedures and protocols. + Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management + Participates in utilization and quality tools and activities that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows. + Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. + Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. **Community information** Oakdale, Minnesota is a welcoming suburban community located just east of St. Paul, offering a small-town feel with easy access to the Twin Cities.
