Facility & Safety Environment Supervisor

The Facility & Safety Environment Supervisor will assist the Facilities Manager in leading a team or vendor group to manage the tactical delivery for the assigned property/facility, and be the on-site key point of contact for key stakeholders and/or client in the absence of the Facilities Manager. The responsibilities will include site budgets, accounting and finance, maintenance and operations, contract services, purchasing of material, equipment & supplies, occupancy services, helpdesk, comprehensive safety management, and environmental compliance oversight.

Safety System Responsibilities: Oversee people safety management in accordance with client safety requirements for staff and contractors. Maintain optimal condition for all critical safety equipment including fire pump systems, fire alarm control panels, smoke and heat detectors, fire extinguishers, FM200 systems, and lightning protection systems. Manage certificates and legal compliance requirements for safety valves, pressure tanks, and water quality monitoring (incoming and outgoing).

Environment System Responsibilities: Supervise wastewater treatment systems, DI water systems, waste collection systems, dust collection, scrubbers, and ventilation systems. Lead environmental monitoring management programs and pest control monitoring activities.

Continuous Improvement Responsibilities: Collect and analyze energy consumption data (water, electricity, steam, air) to identify improvement opportunities and generate reports. Investigate facility-wide improvement opportunities to achieve cost savings aligned with JLL's annual client commitments. Monitor projects related to safety requirements and environmental compliance.

Safety & Environmental Compliance Management

Implement and manage comprehensive safety procedures to ensure provision of a safe working environmentEnsure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health, and safety standardsOversee environmental management systems and ensure regulatory complianceConduct safety audits and environmental assessmentsManage safety training programs for staff and contractorsMonitor and report on environmental performance metrics

Procurement & Vendor Management

Manage multiple vendors with both hard and soft skills to deliver services on time and within budgetManage vendor procurement processes in accordance with agreed client procurement guidelines and Jones Lang LaSalle procurement best practices

Contracts Management

Ensure all contracts are professionally delivered at the right cost and in line with the Jones Lang LaSalle Code of EthicsMonitor contract expiry dates and initiate re-procurement when neededContinually assess contracts to ensure best value delivery to the client

Site Operations Management

Implement industry best practice operationsAssist and monitor to ensure all building procedures and performance measures are maintained at all timesEnsure all Critical Environment (CEM) requirements are metSeek ways to reduce costs and improve operational standardsProvide 24/7 emergency call support and site attendance as required

Risk Management

Assist in implementation and management of property risk management programsSupport implementation and monitoring of disaster recovery and business continuity plansFollow established escalation procedures and incident reporting proceduresAdhere to Jones Lang LaSalle's business conduct by ensuring compliance with firm guidelines, procedures, and strategiesAchieve Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Ideal Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities, property management, hospitality, or related field with safety and environmental oversightExperience working in client industry environmentKnowledge of local health, occupational safety, and environmental requirementsKnowledge of critical facilities and environmental systemsKnowledge of vendor management for specialized safety and environmental servicesUnderstanding of basic technical aspects of property systems (Computer Room Air-conditioning, Chiller systems, Fire Protection systems, Mechanical & Electrical systems, BMS systems, environmental control systems)Proven capacity to understand and interpret commercial contractsStrong budget management and financial analysis skillsCertification in safety management (preferred) and environmental compliance
