About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Facility Manager to lead the delivery of facilities services at Waikeria Prison, this will include the administration of both a National and Public Private Partnership contract. This role is responsible for ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with the Project Agreement, managing subcontractors and internal trade teams, driving performance to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting results to key stakeholders.
You will be instrumental in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and contributing to financial and operational reporting. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in facilities or property management.
About you:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in trade, property, or facilities management.
At least 3 years in a facilities or property management role.
Proven ability to manage subcontractors and internal teams.
Strong financial acumen and experience with reporting and KPI analysis.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel (advanced), SharePoint, and Power BI.
Experience with CMMS systems (desirable).
Sound understanding of HSSEQ systems, risk management, and NZ health and safety legislation.
A solutions-focused mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, hands-on leadership role.
