Our client, a dedicated facility focused on animal care and conservation, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the overall safety and functionality of the sanctuary. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Facility Maintenance Technician
**Location:** Summerville
**Pay Range: 20**
**Shift: 8-5**
**What's the Job?**
+ Perform routine maintenance of animal enclosures, including structural repairs, welding, painting, and weatherproofing.
+ Conduct regular inspections of fences, locks, gates, and other safety systems to ensure security and containment.
+ Troubleshoot possible plumbing issues and perform necessary repairs.
+ Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, and machinery such as tractors, power washers, and generators.
+ Respond to emergency repairs and weather-related issues, ensuring a safe environment for all.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications a plus.
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in general maintenance, construction, or facility operations.
+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
+ Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and mechanical systems.
+ Valid driver’s license required.
