Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of tasks related to maintaining and repairing facility systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
ResponsibilitiesInstall and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, compressor/vacuum, plumbing, and electrical systems.Perform routine repairs on air handling and other facility systems, including repairing and replacing valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, and pipes.Troubleshoot mechanical equipment-related problems.Monitor the air handling system and complete preventative maintenance tasks on time.Install utilities to production equipment on line moves and add air ducts on manufacturing lines when required.Assist Industrial Engineering and Machine Support in line configuration and equipment moves.Assemble and disassemble cubicle walls and partitions.Respond to requests for help from employees with facilities-related tasks.Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices.Perform other related duties as assigned.Essential Skills2 years of HVAC experienceRooftop HVAC experienceHS Diploma or GEDBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office experience)Ability to stand on feet for an 8-hour shift6 months of manufacturing experienceAbility to lift 50 lbsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with assembly, electrical components, and constructionWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is an extremely clean, 5S manufacturing facility with a 'clean room' style production area. All floor workers must wear special shoe inserts to prevent static charge that could damage equipment. With over 50 team members on the floor, maintaining labeled restricted work areas and designated walkways is crucial. As a project-based company, there may be times when deadlines require team members to extend their work hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr.
