About Your Role:

As a Facilities Maintenance Manager at one of Dollar Tree’s Distribution Centers, you’ll direct, plan, and supervise maintenance personnel while overseeing facility maintenance for buildings, grounds, and support equipment. You’ll ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulations and procedures. Your day-to-day job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
 

Maintenance Operations & Oversight:

Direct, plan, and supervise maintenance personnel and daily maintenance activitiesManage and oversee the repair and maintenance of equipment, assigning work orders and prioritizing safety- and production-related workAssist maintenance associates with diagnosis and repairs when necessaryManage preventive maintenance programs and ensure schedules are followed to minimize downtimeReview, recommend, and implement additions, modifications, and improvements to facility systems
 

Facilities, Contracts & Compliance:

Recommend and requisition of materials and supplies needed for equipment and building maintenanceOversee all contract maintenance, including obtaining quotes, managing contracts, and ensuring work is completed to specificationsEnsure all required inspections and licenses are completed for facility operationsOversee building, grounds, and equipment cleanliness and conditionManage the facility’s waste disposal program in accordance with applicable regulations
 

Leadership & Communication:

Develop, implement, and administer operational policies, programs, and systems within the functional areaEstablish methods and procedures for departmental work activities and resolve mechanical issuesCommunicate expertise, approvals, and relevant information related to departmental activitiesInteract with facility management to ensure maintenance needs are met and conduct facility tours to assess conditionsHire, orient, train, evaluate, and develop associatesPartner with the Assistant General Manager and Human Resources Manager on disciplinary actions and employment decisions as appropriateShare information and anticipate communication needs of associates

Your Required Skills and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of three (3) years of maintenance and supervisory experienceStrong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safety proceduresStrong leadership, administrative, organizational, managerial, and communication skillsAnalytical ability to gather and interpret information and develop, recommend, and implement solutionsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsStrong decision-making, problem-solving, and accountability skillsProficiency in PC applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
 

Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering
