Facility Group Leader
**Job Title: Facility Group Leader** Job Description The Facility Group Leader will oversee a Union Facility Group at a technology center. This role involves managing trades workers responsible for repairs in HVAC, plumbing, millwright, painting, and electrical areas. The leader will manage repairs, scheduling, and ordering, with a workload balance of 70% floor work and 30% office and computer tasks. Responsibilities + Oversee trades workers performing HVAC, plumbing, millwright, painting, and electrical repairs. + Manage scheduling and ordering for repair projects. + Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all facility maintenance operations. + Walk the facility floor 70% of the time to supervise and support team activities. + Conduct office and computer work, including utilizing Microsoft Teams, Office, email, and Excel for 30% of the time. Essential Skills + Experience in facility maintenance with a mechanical inclination. + Leadership or supervision experience, including holding people accountable to metrics, attendance, and customer service. + Direct management of trades personnel. + Valid driver's license. + Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Teams, Office, email, and Excel. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Maximo or any type of maintenance software is highly preferred. + Union experience is beneficial for understanding and adhering to union contracts. Work Environment This position operates on a 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The work environment includes both hands-on facility floor activities and office-based computer work. Employees are expected to be comfortable with a physical presence on the floor and proficient in using technology for administrative tasks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $36.06/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
