Facility Engineer with below requirement.
A. Power Quality, Distribution & ReliabilityOperate and maintain LT systems, transformers, LT panels, PDU/RPP, isolation transformers, and static transfer switches (STS).
Ensure N+1 / 2N redundancy for critical loads (process tools, scrubbers, abatement, BMS, safety systems).
Monitor harmonics (THD), transients, flicker, and EMI/RFI; implement filters/SPDs and isolation strategies for sensitive tools (litho, metrology).
Perform load studies, phase balancing, and feeder capacity checks prior to tool hookups and expansions.
B. UPS, Emergency Power & ControlsOperate and maintain UPS (modular/N+1), battery strings, DG sets, AMF/ATS panels; test black start and autotransfer sequences.
Periodic battery health tests (IR, discharge tests), UPS efficiency tuning, and firmware/config backup.
Maintain Emergency Power Off (EPO) circuits, interlocks with gas monitoring systems, and fire alarm interfaces.
C. Grounding, Bonding & ESDMaintain clean/technical grounds, separate from building ground; verify low-impedance paths and equipotential bonding for tools.
Implement and audit ESD controls (SEMI S20.20 practices), wrist straps, surfaces, flooring resistance, and static-safe layouts in cleanroom and chase areas.
D. Maintenance, Monitoring & ResponseEstablish PM/CBM for panels, breakers, relays, STS, UPS, and IR thermography for hot spots.
Trend MTBF/MTTR, create SPC charts for voltage, frequency, THD, and temperature rise.
Lead RCA on trips/nuisance faults; implement corrective and preventive actions.
E. Safety & Compliance (Electrical)Enforce LOTO, arc-flash boundaries, insulated tools, and PPE.
Maintain single-line diagrams, relay settings, test reports (IR, ER), and statutory compliance under CEA Regulations, Indian Electrical Safety Rules, and local inspectorate requirements.
Integrate BMS/EPMS alarms, define SOPs for emergency shutdowns and controlled restarts.
2) Facility Engineer – Mechanical / Process Utilities (Semiconductor Labs)Primary Objective:
Ensure stable, spec-compliant utilities for process tools and cleanroom performance with high uptime and contamination control.
Operate and optimize MAUs/AHUs/FFUs, HEPA/ULPA filtration, pressurization cascades, temperature & RH controls.
Maintain ISO 14644 cleanroom classes; track particle counts, airflow, and room recovery times.
Handle filter life-cycle management, leak tests (DOP/PAO), duct hygiene, and IAQ.
Seasonal tuning of coils, economizer modes, and dew point management to prevent condensation in bays/chasers.
B. Chilled Water / PCW /Operate chillers (centrifugal/screw), CTs, primary/secondary pumping, and PCW loops for tools.
Maintain temperature stability, ΔT, flow, and vibration on critical pumps; maintain N+1 for critical circuits.
Water treatment: scaling/corrosion inhibitors, biocide control, blowdown optimization.
Trending: SPC on supply temp, differential pressure, specific energy consumption.
C. Ultra-Pure Water (UPW/DI) & WastewaterManage rinse loops, sanitization schedules, and return/reclaim strategies (if applicable).
D. Compressed Air (CDA), Vacuum & Inert GasesOperate oil-free compressors, dryers, and filtration to meet dew point and oil/particulate specs; maintain VMB/VMP pressures.
Maintain central vacuum and dry pump systems for tools; plan overhauls, flushing, and pump swap programs with OEMs
Manage bulk/packaged nitrogen (N₂), vacuum-jacketed lines (if LN₂), and purges for tools and abatement.
E. Fire, Life Safety & Exhaust/VentilationMaintain process exhaust, toxic exhaust, and general exhaust with redundancy and failure interlocks.
Coordinate with fire detection/suppression (VESDA, clean agent where applicable), and ensure SEMI S2/S6/S8/S18 oriented risk controls.
F. Maintenance, Monitoring & Analytics PPMCreate PM schedules for pumps, compressors, chillers, FFUs, filters, cabinets, scrubbers, UPW, and neutralization systems.
Use BMS to alarm, trend, and report; deploy predictive maintenance (vibration, oil analysis, dew point trends).
Maintain spares strategy for high-risk items (VFDs, AHU motors, pump seals, pH probes, sensors, HEPA/ULPA, MERV prefilters).
H. Safety & Compliance (Mechanical/Utilities)Enforce PTW/LOTO, confined space, hot work, and chemical handling SOPs.
Comply with Factory Act, Boiler Regulations (if applicable), Lift Act, local PCB norms for discharge, PESO/SMPV Rules for gas storage, and explosion-proof ratings where needed.
Maintain MSDS/SDS, calibration certificates, and interlock validation records.
3) Common Responsibilities (Both Electrical & Mechanical)Projects & Tool HookupsReview PFD/P&ID, MEP/shop drawings, and hook-up packages; validate utility points, capacity, and interlocks.
Coordinate FAT/SAT, commissioning, and as-built updates; manage change control and redlining.
Plan shutdowns with clear MOPs (Method of Procedure) and rollback plans—particularly when tying into live loops.
Operations, Documentation & ReportingMaintain O&M logs, trend charts, equipment history, and SOP/EOP libraries.
Generate MIS: uptime, incidents, energy use, water use, chemical use, and environmental KPIs (e.g., CUE/WUE).
Track OEE, MTBF/MTTR, and SPC metrics for critical utilities and cleanroom performance.
Vendor/OEM & AMC ManagementManage AMCs for chillers, compressors, scrubbers, UPS, gas detection, and UPW.
Validate service reports, calibration certificates, and PM checklists; enforce spares and response SLAs.
Conduct RCA with OEMs for chronic faults and implement design/controls improvements.
EHS, Training & CultureRun toolbox talks, competency training (LOTO, toxic gas, electrical safety, ESD, cleanroom behavior).
Lead HIRA/JSA, safety walks, and near-miss programs; maintain permit-to-work rigor.
Interface with QA/EHS/Process teams to align operational windows with experiment schedules and risk profiles.

Full PMs as per OEM: compressor dryers, scrubber spray nozzles, HVAC coils & filters, UPS battery IR.
Calibration rotation: gas sensors, pressure/flow/temp transmitters, pH/ORP meters.
Emergency drill (gas leak/EPO) and RCA review of any incidents; update SOPs/MOPs/EOPs.
