This position requires the ability to complete assigned work orders in a timely manner. Work orders will vary from repairs to preventative maintenance.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. The employee shall support AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan.  The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to;  Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and Regional Care initiatives. Responsibilities

Provides a safe and sanitary environment for patients, family, staff, and self.
1. Performs basic plumbing, electrical repair, steam fitting and general maintenance.
2. Services equipment by lubricating, cleaning, replacing parts, and making minor adjustments.
3. Performs building maintenance requiring basic carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering or HVAC.
4. Operates, maintains and assists in repairing boilers, refrigeration units, air conditioning units, ice
machines electronic and pneumatic controls.
5. Understands and able to safely operate an repair all central plant equipment, including, but not limited to
boilers, chillers pumps compressors.
6. Performs electrical installation and maintenance.
7. Understands the operation of electrical motors, controllers and related electrical equipment.
8. Is able to wire up and install standard 110 and 220 volt outlets.
9. Understands refrigeration system and chilled water systems.
10. Test runs emergency generators and understands the operation of transfer switch.
11. Performs plumbing installation and maintenance.
12. Installs and maintains hospital equipment (i.e. bulletin boards, file holders, pictures)
13. Understands and able to perform preventive maintenance of all equipment as assigned.
14. Ability to patch penetrations in walls, fire walls and paint.

Qualifications Must have minimum of two year’s experience in construction, carpentry, plumbing, painting, or HVACMust have demonstrated experience, proficiency, and expertise in one or more of the above areas.Working knowledge in various mechanical hand held tools required in the performance of the trade.Working knowledge of power equipment, drills, saws, pneumatic tools, compressor, airless sprays.Working knowledge of pumps and pumping system.Working knowledge of scaffolding and ladders.Working knowledge of trucks and forklifts.Ability to read, write, comprehend and communicate effectivelyPrevious experience within the healthcare industry preferredBasic computer skills preferred.Ability to interact effectively with patients, customers and associates in a way that exhibits superior integrated customer service and teamworkExcellent listening and verbal communication skillsAbility to exercise tact and diplomacy while directing co-workersAbility to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficientlyExcellent organization and problem solving skillsAbility to work within defined time constraintsAbility to take initiative and follow throughBilingual in Spanish a plus Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
