Facilities Technician III
**Job Title: Facilities Technician III** **Job Description** The Facilities Technician III position requires a dedicated individual to work full-time for a temporary duration of three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance evaluation. The role is based at Biosciences Laboratories Irvine (BLI) and involves maintaining cGMP utilities, manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, clean rooms, and facilities supporting GMP pharmaceutical/biotechnology operations. The technician will work from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and overtime work. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of cGMP utilities, manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, and facility infrastructure within Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety and regulatory guidelines. + Coordinate, perform, and document maintenance activities such as monthly, semi-annual, and annual PMs in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) MAXIMO. + Process purchase orders for maintenance spare parts and service providers. + Support facility utilities non-conformances and their impact on manufacturing processes and equipment systems. + Complete all required training within Facilities department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and support department procedures/SOPs revisions as necessary. + Support internal/external audits for the Facilities department. + Follow all Environmental Health Safety (EHS) procedures and support efforts to improve EHS performance. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Associate or technical degree or high school diploma with a minimum of 7 years of related experience in a GMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. + Experience in predictive maintenance, mechanical/electromechanical fields. + Technical experience in GMP utilities, manufacturing equipment, HVAC systems, pharmaceutical facility maintenance, and calibration programs. + Proficiency with maintenance programs using CMMS software MAXIMO. + Knowledge of change management support to non-conformance investigations and CAPAs. + Technical competence and experience with systems such as RODI, WFI water systems, clean steam, HVAC/clean rooms, and BMS systems. + Experience with GMP manufacturing equipment such as fermenters, bioreactors, CIP/SIP, autoclaves, washers, BSCs, and waste inactivation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with computers and Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, and Excel. + Working knowledge of data acquisition and SCADA systems is highly desired. **Why Work Here?** This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and compliance of pharmaceutical and biotechnology operations.
