Facilities Technician - First Shift
**Job Title: Facilities Technician III** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician III to maintain HVAC systems and equipment, ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable workplace. This role involves the operation, repair, and preventative maintenance of building facilities and equipment, as well as the movement and installation of equipment and furniture. **Responsibilities** + Operate, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and equipment. + Perform preventative maintenance on building facilities and equipment. + Move and install equipment and furniture as needed. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues with commercial refrigeration systems. + Work with electrical schematics for various systems. + Travel between sites using service vehicles. **Essential Skills** + Possession of a Universal EPA License. + At least 5 years of experience in troubleshooting commercial refrigeration. + Valid driver's license. + Experience with electrical schematics. + 5-7 years of experience in commercial refrigeration within any industry. + Associate degree in HVAC or a high school diploma with 6 years of experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, compressors, plumbing, and mechanical systems. + Strong skills in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. + Experience in building and facility maintenance. **Why Work Here?** We offer a supportive work environment where safety and comfort are prioritized. Uniforms and PPE are provided, and candidates will be required to travel between sites using service vehicles. The position primarily involves onsite work, with an interview conducted in person. Candidates willing to relocate at their own expense are welcome, though local candidates are preferred. **Job Type & Location** Job is based out of North Chicago, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
