**Facilities Maintenance Technician**
**Location:** Hanover, MD
**Schedule:** 1st Shift
**Position Overview**
We are seeking a versatile and mechanically inclined **Facilities Maintenance Technician** to support the maintenance, safety, and overall functionality of our commercial and manufacturing facility. This hands‑on position involves work across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general building upkeep. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and able to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine maintenance tasks across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general facility systems.
+ Conduct painting, cleaning, and organizational tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient facility.
+ Support groundskeeping and exterior building maintenance as needed.
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and building‑related issues.
+ Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth facility operations.
**Essential Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; relevant trade experience preferred.
+ Working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
+ Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
+ Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Ability to lift up to **50 lbs** and perform physical tasks as required.
**Preferred Skills**
+ Prior experience in facilities maintenance, building repair, or a related trade.
+ Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
+ Strong problem‑solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

**Work Environment**
+ Work in a **brand‑new, state-of-the-art facility** that will house 200–250 employees at full capacity.
+ Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and fluctuating temperatures.
+ PPE required: **steel‑toe boots, safety glasses, long pants, and long sleeves or cut‑resistant sleeves** (company provides PPE except footwear).
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
