Facilities Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the facilities management sector, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting building operations and technical systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Facilities Technician
**Location:** Andover, MA
**Shift:** M-F, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
**Pay Range:** $48/hr-$52/hr
**What's the Job?**
+ Accept and log all complaints, status updates, and follow-up calls in the CMMS database.
+ Take immediate action on all alarms, repairing or correcting alarm conditions when possible, or initiating follow-up procedures.
+ Monitor and adjust refrigeration, HVAC, heat exchangers, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, electrical, emergency backup, and hot water systems to ensure optimal operation.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on critical building systems, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC units, pumps, motors, piping, valves, and controls.
+ Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching, and motor controls, ensuring compliance with safety standards and departmental policies.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ At least 2 years of related trade schooling or experience in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
+ **Must possess a valid Massachusetts refrigeration license.**
+ Experience working with HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems for a minimum of 3 years.
+ Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats, with knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
