Facilities Technician
**Job Title** **: Facilities and Maintenance Technician** **Location:** Portsmouth, NH (On-site) **Pay:** $27-$30/hr **Employment Type:** Contract We are seeking a skilled Facilities and Maintenance Technician to support daily operations and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. This role involves performing routine checks, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and remain compliant with safety and quality standards. **Responsibilities:** + Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with minimal supervision + Maintain clean and audit-ready maintenance areas + Document maintenance activities using a computerized system (CMMS) + Follow safety procedures and participate in training programs + Interpret mechanical drawings and schematics + Collaborate with engineering and reliability teams on repairs and improvement projects + Support continuous improvement initiatives **Essential Skills:** + High school diploma or equivalent + Ability to use hand tools and read mechanical drawings + Basic computer skills and shop math knowledge + Familiarity with standard operating procedures and safety guidelines + Experience in mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance **Work Environment:** + Fast-paced manufacturing setting + Initial training: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for the first 90 days + Shift schedule: 12-hour shifts on a rotating 3- and 4-day pattern + Shift A: Sunday–Tuesday and every other Wednesday + Shift B: Thursday–Saturday and every other Wednesday **Why Join Us:** + Be part of a team that values safety, collaboration, and growth + Gain hands-on experience with advanced equipment and systems + Access training and development opportunities + Work in a structured environment with clear career pathways **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
