Facilities Technician
**Job Title: Facilities Engineer** Job Description We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to support our dynamic team in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conference room setups, assisting with audio/visual equipment, and performing general interior maintenance tasks including lighting replacements and office furniture repairs. Responsibilities + Set up conference rooms and assist with audio/visual equipment. + Replace lighting and ballasts as needed. + Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials upon request. + Perform general interior maintenance such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems and doors. + Inspect and change air filters. + Work in mailroom/stockroom and shipping & receiving when necessary. Essential Skills + 1+ years of experience in facilities maintenance. + Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry. + Experience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical maintenance is preferred. + Familiarity with work order systems, specifically Corigo. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortable working on ladders. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Personable demeanor and willingness to interact with lab staff and company personnel. + Experience with light carpentry, painting, and troubleshooting building maintenance issues. + Comfortable using a cell phone for work order management and clocking in/out. Work Environment The work environment includes an 8-floor building consisting of conference spaces, offices, and a kitchen area. While labs are present on two floors, maintenance is not expected in these areas. The position offers a supportive environment with all necessary tools provided to perform duties efficiently. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, Massachusetts. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
