Facilities Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Facilities Technician responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. The role involves maintaining commercial properties through preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance while traveling to various customer sites using a company-provided vehicle. The technician will perform a wide range of tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, HVAC, and more to ensure high work standards and a professional environment.

ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance and repairs as per work order requirements.Conduct minor plumbing maintenance on existing systems, including unclogging toilets and maintaining valve assemblies.Carry out routine painting, carpentry work, and general maintenance to keep facilities in like-new condition.Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, and perform necessary painting and touch-up work.Perform minor electrical maintenance within state law requirements, such as repairing or replacing fixtures and outlets.Complete service and asset inspections as needed.Essential SkillsExperience in facilities maintenance, plumbing, electrical, repair, and painting.Ability to perform preventive maintenance, carpentry, and building maintenance.Troubleshooting and repair skills.Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical experience, along with HVAC knowledge.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work for a company that has secured a contract for facilities management throughout the Chicagoland area, focusing on locations in Bolingbrook, Naperville, and Joliet. The position requires early start hours, from 5 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
