Job Description
We are seeking a Facilities Technician who will maintain a working knowledge of building systems and Facilities operations. This role serves as the primary contact for any building issues, such as climate control, odors, smoke, spills, damage, emergencies, and repairs. The technician will manage work orders, perform maintenance on both the interior and exterior of buildings, and monitor facility and equipment conditions.
ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary contact for any building issues.Create, process, and assign work orders and ensure proper communication.Perform maintenance, including painting, minor construction, repairs, and equipment installation.Monitor facility and equipment conditions and recommend maintenance or improvements.Maintain all building equipment and manage inventory of supplies and tools.Manage and maintain primary utilities' systems such as HVAC, elevators, and control of water, gas, and electric systems.Solicit bids and quotes from vendors, schedule repairs, and monitor contractor performance.Assist with project coordination for repair and construction projects.Respond to building emergencies on a 24/7 basis.Perform repairs and/or replacement of plumbing fixtures, valves, and devices.Perform re-lamping, repairs, and/or replacement of electrical fixtures and devices.Perform carpentry work to repair windows, doors, and furniture.Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Transport goods or equipment as required.Assist in preventive maintenance programs and facilities inspections.Provide training to new employees and refresher training as needed.Follow OSHA regulations for all projects and equipment operation.Assist with site inspections and ensure building cleanliness.Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.Essential SkillsMinimum of 3 years of experience in Plumbing and Electrical work.Ability to conduct rounds of preventive maintenance checks.Experience in facilities maintenance, repair, and painting.Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsExcellent customer service experience.Ability to provide training to new employees.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work with a team of multiple technicians in a collaborative environment. This role includes living onsite in an 800 square foot, one-bedroom, one-bath apartment. The schedule is unique, requiring 5 hours of work during the day and covering additional hours at night, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Francisco, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.70/hr.
