Facilities Technician
**Job Title: Facilities Technician** **Job Description** The Facilities Technician will be responsible for performing a variety of work, including preventative maintenance and assisting in the repair of buildings and grounds in assigned areas. **Responsibilities** + Perform general maintenance and repair tasks within apartment complexes or hotels. + Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC and electrical units. + Assist in troubleshooting and repairing various facility issues, such as plumbing and lighting. + Provide customer service in a professional manner to residents or guests. + Communicate effectively using written, verbal, and email methods. **Essential Skills** + 6+ months of building maintenance experience within apartment complexes or hotels. + Ability to lift 50+ lbs on a daily basis. + Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and email. + Customer service experience in previous roles. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience working within maintenance at a hotel or apartment complex. + Experience in a customer-focused environment (apartments, hotels, corporate facilities). + Experience working on rooftop HVAC units. + Familiarity with VAV (Variable Air Volume) boxes. + Experience in residential and/or contractor work. **Why Work Here?** We offer generous benefits including 80 hours of PTO annually and 10 paid holidays, fostering a supportive and balanced work-life environment. **Work Environment** This role operates from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with the expectation of occasional weekend work and flexibility for first shift when necessary. You will be working across two locations, South Lake Union and Pioneer Square, which are two miles apart. Please note that these roles will not require entering occupied hotel rooms. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seattle, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
