Job Description
The HVAC Technician I is responsible for performing maintenance tasks on various equipment and systems within the facility. This includes repairing and maintaining HVAC systems, managing inventory, supporting engineering projects, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and repair on a wide variety of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, air handler units, and rooftop units.Utilize computer skills with tablets to review work orders, chats, and all communication.Work at heights and climb on the roof for maintenance of rooftop units (RTUs).Collaborate with maintenance workers and staff to resolve maintenance problems and coordinate services.Support the Energy Engineering Department with projects.Conduct troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and equipment.Install HVAC mechanical components and conduct sheet metal work.Maintain utility equipment such as storage tanks, piping, boilers, chillers, and compressors.Oversee HVAC systems including equipment, duct work, and clean and dry room equipment.Manage process supporting equipment such as mixers, coater ovens, dust collectors, activated carbon filters, hot oil boilers, and regenerative thermal systems.Essential Skills3+ years of industrial HVAC/building maintenance experience.Ability to maintain a wide variety of HVAC systems such as chillers, boilers, air handler units, and rooftop units.Proficiency with computer skills to manage work orders and communications.Comfortable with working at heights and climbing for maintenance tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsIndustrial HVAC experience.Experience in building maintenance, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and sheet metal work.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This role offers shifts with premiums: 2x 1st Shift (6:30am - 2:30pm), 3x 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 10:30pm) with a 10% premium, and 3x 3rd Shift (10:30pm - 6:30am) with a 6% premium. Expect weekend rotation work, potentially 1-2 times a month. The facility is a multi-million square foot industrial setting where candidates work independently or in groups. Personal protective equipment required includes steel toes and basic hand tools.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $70000.00/yr.
