Facilities Technician
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art facility where you will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of production and building equipment. This position requires a keen eye for safety and a proactive approach to maintaining equipment in optimal condition.

ResponsibilitiesSafely perform functions of the position, adhering to safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag-out procedures, and wearing PPE as required.Operate, maintain, and repair all facility and production equipment in compliance with company regulations and standards.Analyze equipment failures, inspect, replace, alter, and maintain building and production services and related equipment.Perform planned maintenance on all building equipment, responding to customer needs.Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and implement planned maintenance procedures.Maintain spare parts inventory, keeping stock personnel informed of parts consumed.Assist in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.Provide support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, and building managers to aid project and renovation work.Comply with all governmental, company, and industrial regulations, codes, standards, health safety practices, and permit systems.Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Respond and provide service and feedback on all work orders, ensuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.Recommend measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.Operate various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to provide energy efficiency solutions.Utilize various equipment such as hand tools, laptop computers, and diagnostic hardware to perform work.Maintain a strict schedule, demonstrating flexibility in day-to-day activities.Perform additional duties as assigned.Essential SkillsOne year of maintenance experience in HVAC, semiconductor, electrical, plumbing, or water treatment.High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.Strong mechanical aptitude and coachable attitude.Blueprint and schematic reading skills.Basic understanding of low voltage electrical work.Ability to train on and safely operate machinery like forklifts and equipment moving rigs.Ability to work overtime when requested.Additional Skills & QualificationsFacilities maintenance experience.Plumbing and HVAC knowledge.Mechanical troubleshooting abilities.Experience with drywall, electrical installation, and carpentry.Cleanroom experience.Familiarity with semiconductor repair and construction.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a clean, air-conditioned manufacturing facility with varying levels of cleanrooms. PPE is required throughout the production floor. The facility's newness means most work involves preventative maintenance and upkeep.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hillsboro, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
