Facilities Technician
**Job Title: Facilities Technician** **Responsibilities** + Maintain and perform general repairs on refrigeration units, plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, and electrical systems. + Conduct preventive maintenance on refrigeration, HVAC, electric, plumbing, roofing, elevators, and buildings. + Install tile and drywall, make grouting repairs, patch walls, and paint. + Inventory maintenance supplies and coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed. + Use gauges on equipment and controls. + Repair laundry, storage, and kitchen equipment. **Essential Skills** + Expertise in HVAC systems, including roof top units and building maintenance. + Proficiency in painting, facilities maintenance, and carpentry. + Ability to read and understand blueprint schematics. + 2-3 years of experience in HVAC repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance. + 5+ years of experience in building and facilities maintenance. + Customer service and hospitality focus. + Knowledge of boiler maintenance and building automation systems. + Electrical system and maintenance expertise. + EPA universal certification. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to diagnose minor HVAC problems and implement repairs. + Skill in installing thermostats and setting programming. + EPA Certification is highly preferred. + A mindset focused on customer service and hospitality. + Five years or more of progressive experience as a Facilities Engineer or Maintenance Professional. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a C2H opportunity with medical and dental benefits. Uniforms are provided, and the team consists of four individuals, including a Facilities Director, Maintenance Lead, and one technician. The ability to work autonomously is essential as the environment is dynamic and customer service is a priority. Employees may drive a utility cart and are expected to maintain a professional appearance. The paddle court is heated year-round with 25 gas heaters. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
