Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the exterior and interior of office buildings, performing general maintenance tasks, and ensuring the facility operates smoothly. The role includes a mix of landscaping, janitorial duties, and light HVAC work, with opportunities for training and career growth.

ResponsibilitiesConduct cleaning and general maintenance of the interior of office buildings.Manage interior and exterior electrical lighting functions, including inspecting, changing, and replacing switches, outlets, and light bulbs.Replace missing and damaged ceiling tiles and/or grids.Maintain drain pumps and drinking fountains, and investigate leaks.Order, pick up, and deliver inventory materials, and document the materials to track inventory.Essential SkillsStrong Mechanical AptitudeExperience with HVAC systemsFacilities maintenance experienceAbility to read maintenance and operational instructionsAdditional Skills & QualificationsLight HVAC experienceJanitorial and cleaning skillsRepair and plumbing skillsLandscaping experienceWhy Work Here?

We offer comprehensive training on all essential aspects of the job, along with a path to full-time employment. Employees receive a company phone and uniforms once hired directly. During winter months, additional winter clothing is provided. Our benefits include 2 personal days and 4 sick days once hired directly.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. The role includes rotating on-call duty once a month, responsible for emergency responses to alarms, systems failures, and building access for contractors and emergency services. On-call duty is from Friday to Friday and includes time and a half pay for on-call hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
