Job Title: Senior Building Engineer

Job Description

The Facility Mainentence Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in a 500,000 square foot medical office facility. This role provides leadership in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and optimizing building performance.

ResponsibilitiesManage and perform maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain central chiller plant and low-pressure steam boilers.Oversee and conduct preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, VFDs, air-handlers, and other mechanical equipment.Monitor and adjust Building Management System (BMS) to optimize performance and energy efficiency.Utilize CMMS/work order system to respond to scheduled and reactive maintenance requests.Assist with sprinkler, pump, and fire alarm inspections.Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, and local building codes.Perform electrical troubleshooting on circuits, panels, and emergency power systems.Respond to emergency situations including power failures, floods, and HVAC outages.Supervise vendors and contractors performing specialized maintenance and repairs.Maintain accurate records of equipment performance, work orders, and compliance inspections.Train and mentor junior engineering staff.Essential SkillsElectricalFacilities maintenanceHVACPlumbingRepairMechanicalTroubleshootingPreventive maintenanceAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Building Management Systems (BMS)Familiarity with CMMS/work order systemsKnowledge of NFPA, OSHA, and local building codesExperience in training and mentoring junior staffWhy Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
