**Facilities Technician 3 - Grand Rapids, MI**
**Job Description**
Seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Facility Maintenance Technician to add to our growing team. This facilities technician is responsible for supporting the operation, inspection, and maintenance processes of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment and systems in assigned facilities. The role involves assisting Mobile Engineers, HVAC/R, and Control Systems Technicians in maintenance and repair efforts and independently performing defined tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
+ Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment.
+ Perform general interior maintenance, including HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, and kitchen equipment maintenance (e.g., meat grinder, cubber, meat saw, slicers).
+ Conduct minor plumbing repairs.
+ Complete special tasks such as painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
**Essential Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid state driver’s license.
+ Minimum of one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
+ Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs, use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude.
+ Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent.
+ Ability to comply with company and client-directed policies and procedures.
+ Self-motivated individual capable of working independently or in a team environment.
+ Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable.
+ Experience in Commercial Facilities Maintenance is preferred.
+ Facilities maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, repair, mechanical troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with mechanical facilities such as RTU (roof top units) and commercial refrigeration.

**Work Environment**
The role involves frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving. The successful candidate will be provided with the necessary tools to perform assigned tasks. The work environment is committed to maintaining a clean and safe space, with adherence to safety procedures and regulations.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Walker, MI.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
