Facilities Supervisor
Job Title: Facilities SupervisorJob Description

As a Facilities Supervisor, you will oversee a small team of 2-3 Groundskeepers and be responsible for managing and maintaining building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. You will ensure the facility meets all health and safety standards, oversee both routine and preventative maintenance, and manage repairs and renovations. Additionally, you will develop long-term strategies for facility maintenance and improvements.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise facility staff, including maintenance personnel, custodial staff, and security personnel.Oversee security, cleaning, and groundskeeping operations.Manage routine and preventative maintenance for building systems.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and emergency preparedness.Develop strategies for facility upgrades and improvements.Cut grass and control weeds on the grounds of the Illinois International Port.Shovel sidewalks for snow removal.Perform simple oil changes on golf carts, lawn mowers, and gator carts.Fix minor maintenance issues such as broken handles and simple paint jobs.Organize maintenance shop and garage.
Essential Skills5+ years of management/supervisory experience.5+ years of experience with hand and power tools.5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance.Experience with project management, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and painting.Valid driver's license.Experience in grass cutting and weed control.
Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with ride-on lawn mowers.Experience in performing oil changes.
