The PositionAs a Facilities Specialist you will be working at Roche Services Americas, which is one of the Roche Shared Services Centers worldwide providing Finance, Procurement services to various countries in the Americas region. In this role you will be reporting to the Facilities Manager.
This collaborator will assist with maintaining daily operations of the physical facility Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing systems, including HVAC, fire life safety, and power distribution, ensuring compliance with Roche’s global engineering standards. Works with outside contractors on building and equipment repairs.
Your Opportunity
The responsibilities for this role include:
Assist the building site manager, for site locations, in all aspects of daily operations. This may include managing usage of office space and equipment, developing metric reports, SOPs and documentation
Ensure adherence to company facility standards and requirements, of building and safety codes.
Reviews and estimates Business Cases that includes design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
Responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes monitoring payments through Roche Account Payable system.
Prepare expense estimate comparisons, benchmarking, and onsite management of building amenities.
Provide building and office management services for savings operation and maximum usage of facilities and equipment.
Work with external vendors to develop and implement facilities plans. Review vendor scopes, onsite vendor performance, timely work order completion, and construction related activities. Review and audit the vendor's work.
Be available for on call duties and maintenance.
Support Events and visits to the Campus.
Who you are
The person in this role possess analytical and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on very technical issues relating to process controls, automation systems, and general control theory. Has strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to problem solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with high attention to details. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with an ability to interact well with a variety of personalities, discipline skills and educational levels.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field as well as technical education in Security, Health and Environment (SHE)
3+ years of facilities experience in a multi-operational facility
Advanced English proficiency is required
