Facilities Manager (Remote) Job ID 235947 Posted 29-Aug-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Facilities Management Location(s) Columbus - Ohio - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE Facilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a portfolio of small to medium sized buildings throughout your designated region. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans. **What You’ll Do:** + Provide formal supervision to employees remotely ensuring consistent communication with the team as well as mentor and coach as needed. + Promote a collaborative and accountable team environment. + Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. + Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors. + Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues. + Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports. + Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities. + Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects. + Ensure consistent adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the team. + Oversee comprehensive management of work orders throughout their lifecycle using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems. + Manage both reactive and preventive maintenance work orders for soft and hard services. + Maintain accurate inventory records and track work orders regionally. + Ensure prompt resolution of escalations and service issues. + Act as a primary point of contact for clients regarding operational matters. + Coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure service delivery meets expectations. + Manage multiple priorities and projects independently. + Ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures. + Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service metrics, providing regular reports. + Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS platforms for data entry and reporting. + Generate and analyze reports to identify trends and drive improvements. + Maintain accurate documentation and records of service activities. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. + Apply knowledge of own subject area and how own field integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Facility Management certification preferred. + Demonstrated experience managing remote teams and direct reports. + Strong background in facilities operations or work order management. + Excellent communication skills and proficiency in handling escalations. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools such as Tableau. + Experience with CMMS platforms and data entry. + Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively. + Client-facing experience with a focus on service delivery and relationship management. + Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. + Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. + Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. + Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. + Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Facilities Manager (Remote) position is $75,000 annually [or $36.06 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Facilities Manager (Remote) position is $80,000 annually [or $38.46 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
